OPTION 1 - From Marrakech to Fes via Sahara Desert in 4 days / 3 nights

Day 1: Marrakech – Telouet Ait Benhaddou

Pick up in the early morning and travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n-Tichka pass (2260m), the highest road pass in Morocco. Visit the Kasbah of Telouet, once the seat of Pasha El Glaoui of Marrakech in the early 20th century. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou. This kasbah is perhaps the most impressive and well-preserved fortress city in Morocco, built on a hilltop. Visit the kasbah and overnight with dinner and breakfast.

 

Day 2 : Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges

After breakfast continue towards Ouarzazate and along “the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs” passing the Skoura Oasis and the Valley of the Roses (Kelaa M'Gouna), the center of Moroccan roses and rose products. Spend the afternoon in Dades, visiting enchanting gorges and canyon viewpoints. Optional you can go for a half-day guided Canyon tour to visit the nomads in their caves. Overnight in the heart of the Dades Gorge with dinner and breakfast.

 

Day 3: Dades Gorge Todra Gorge Merzouga – Erg Chebbi desert

Depart after breakfast and travel to another spectacular canyon the Todra Gorge, the highest cliffs of the High Atlas Mountains. Its walls are 300m high and at their most narrow part 20m apart. Move on to Merzouga, the doorway into the Sahara Desert. At afternoon, your camel guide awaits you to carry you across the golden dunes of the Moroccan Sahara to your desert camp site, when the sun sets across the desert landscape. Reach your desert camp for the night and enjoy refreshing mint tea and a delicious dinner. Spend your night at a campfire with Berber music under millions of stars in traditional nomadic fashion.

 

Day 4: Erg Chebbi desert Merzouga – Azrou – Fes

Wake up early to catch the colorful sunrise over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, possibly the best moment in Morocco. Start your camel trek back to Merzouga, where you enjoy your breakfast and a shower. Move on towards Fes  via Azrou and cedar forests, where a colony of monkeys will keep you amused. Drop off in Fes and end of your journey.

OPTION 2 - From Marrakech to Marrakech via Sahara Desert in 4 days / 3 nights

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges

Pick up in the early morning and travel towards Ouarzazate via the Tizi n-Tichka pass (2260m), the highest road pass in Morocco. Enjoy the panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and magnificent landscapes scenery peppered by small Berber villages typical of the region. Stop for lunch at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou. This kasbah is perhaps the most impressive and well-preserved fortress city in Morocco, built on a hilltop. Our travel continues along “the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs” passing the Skoura Oasis and the Valley of the Roses (Kelaa M'Gouna), the center of Moroccan roses and rose products. Day 2 : Dades Gorge – Tinghir / Todra Gorge – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi desert

Depart after breakfast and travel towards Tinghir, known for its magnificent palm-grove and the impressive Todra Gorge. The gorge is cut into the ochre-colored cliffs of the High Atlas Mountains. Its walls are 300m high and at their most narrow part 20m apart. Move on to Merzouga, the doorway into the Sahara Desert. At afternoon, your camel guide awaits you to carry you across the golden dunes of the Moroccan Sahara to your desert camp site, when the sun sets across the desert landscape. Reach your desert camp for the night and enjoy refreshing mint tea and a delicious dinner. Spend your night at a campfire with traditional Berber music under millions of stars.

 

Day 3: Erg Chebbi desert – Merzouga – Ouarzazate

Wake up early to catch the colorful sunrise over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, possibly the best moment in Morocco. Start your camel trek back to Merzouga, where you enjoy your breakfast and a shower. Return to Ouarzazate, an attractive location for movie makers and home to the Atlas Studios. Spent the rest of the day on your own visiting the prominent kasbahs and buildings. Overnight with dinner and breakfast.

 

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Telouet Marrakech

Return to Marrakech, where your desert tour ends. Stop en route in the High Atlas Mountains and visit the Kasbah of Telouet, located in a green valley surrounded by palm, fig and olive trees. It stands alone at an elevation of 1800m and was once the seat of Pasha El Glaoui of Marrakech in the early 20th century.

OPTION 3 - From Casablanca or Fes to Marrakech via Sahara Desert in 4 days / 3 nights

Day 1: Casablanca or Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

Begin your tour in Casablanca or Fes and cross the Middle Atlas Mountains. Spent most of the day winding your way through the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages. Half way, stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. At arrival in Merzouga, enjoy a hot shower or dip in the swimming pool depending on weather conditions. Overnight in the Ksar Merzouga with dinner and breakfast.

 

Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi desert

Start without rush in the morning to visit Rissani (30 min drive), a small oasis town on the edge of the Sahara desert. Move on for a drive throughout the golden dunes of the Erg Chebbi desert with plenty of black tents in the middle of nowhere. Discover the nomadic life of Berber people by visiting Khamlia, a village where nothing has been changed through centuries. Either have lunch here or go back to your hotel for lunch. After a break, go on a camel trek to your desert campsite and enjoy the sunset on one of the high sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Overnight in Nomad tents with dinner, traditional Berber music around a campfire and a night full of stars.

 

Day 3: Erg Chebbi – Merzouga – Tinghir / Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge

Wake up early to catch the colorful sunrise over the golden dunes, an experience you will never forget. Start your camel trek back to Merzouga, where you enjoy your breakfast and a shower. Move towards Tinghir to visit the Todra Gorge, the most impressive cliffs of the High Atlas Mountains. Afterwards continue to the Dades Valley and overnight in the heart of the Dades Gorge with dinner and breakfast.

 

Day 4: Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, continue towards Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou along “the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs” passing the Rose Valley and the Skoura Oasis. Visit the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous location of movies like “Gladiator” and “The Games of Thrones”. Depart to Marrakech in the afternoon via the Tizi n-Tichka pass of the High Atlas Mountains, where your tour ends.

OPTION 4 - From Rabat to Marrakech via Sahara Desert in 4 days / 3 nights

Day 1: Rabat – Fes

Start your desert tour by a morning drive from Rabat to Fes. Stop at your riad for check in and a short break, before you explore the old medina of Fes in a private half-day city walking tour. Your guide leads you through the maze of narrow alleys passing by the old university, Islamic schools, the tannery, potters and local traditional markets. Overnight in Fes with breakfast.
